In just 40 years, the Hyde Amendment has saved over two million lives.
Enacted in 1976, the Hyde Amendment prohibits federal funding of abortion through Medicaid. Young Americans who have received Medicaid care agree: Medicaid should cover birth, not death. Join our mailing list to receive updates and information as we celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Hyde Amendment on September 30, 2016.
Did you receive prenatal/birth care through Medicaid? Get your name tag and submit your photo!
Email your photos to email@example.com. Include a short message about yourself. As an example, we might caption Noah’s picture: “Noah is almost 2 and loves to play with his cousins.”
By submitting your photo, you acknowledge that it will end up on the internet. Once an image is on the internet, anyone can do anything with it and there’s nothing we can do to stop it. Submit at your own risk.
Please only submit photos of yourself or your kids.
Both Medicaid kids and allies have important roles to play in the #HelloHyde campaign. Our goals are to celebrate, preserve, and expand the Hyde Amendment.
- Celebrate the lives saved by the Hyde Amendment and the lives of all Medicaid kids.
- Preserve the Hyde Amendment against attacks from the abortion lobby.
- Expand the Hyde Amendment to cover children in every state and children conceived through violence, and cut the abortion industry off from all sources of taxpayer funding (not just Medicaid).
