In just 40 years, the Hyde Amendment has saved over two million lives.

Enacted in 1976, the Hyde Amendment prohibits federal funding of abortion through Medicaid. Young Americans who have received Medicaid care agree: Medicaid should cover birth, not death. Both Medicaid kids and allies have important roles to play in the #HelloHyde campaign. Our goals are to celebrate, preserve, and expand the Hyde Amendment.

  • Celebrate the lives saved by the Hyde Amendment and the lives of all Medicaid kids.
  • Preserve the Hyde Amendment against attacks from the abortion lobby.
  • Expand the Hyde Amendment to cover children in every state and children conceived through violence, and cut the abortion industry off from all sources of taxpayer funding (not just Medicaid).

Celebrate 40 years and 2.13 million lives!
